This website is operated by To Pastures New. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to To Pastures New.

Our website and online store are powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide our products and services to you.

By visiting our website and/or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or placing an order.

1. Our Products

We take care to describe and photograph our products as accurately as possible. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.

Many To Pastures New products are handmade using fabric printed in small batches. Slight variations in colour, pattern placement and finish are part of the individual nature of handmade products and are not considered faults.

Product descriptions, specifications, prices and availability may be updated from time to time.

2. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

Once your order has been accepted, you will receive an order confirmation using the contact information supplied during checkout.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where necessary, for example where a product is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing or product information error, or we are unable to fulfil the order.

If we are unable to accept your order after payment has been taken, you will receive a refund.

Please check your order carefully before submitting it, particularly where you are ordering fabric by the metre or a bespoke product.

Your rights to cancel or return an order are explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

3. Handmade and Made-to-Order Products

Our lampshades are handmade to order. Unless otherwise stated on the individual product page, please allow approximately 1–4 weeks for your lampshade to be made before dispatch.

This making time is separate from the delivery time once your order has been dispatched.

Standard products made to order are subject to our normal Returns & Refunds Policy.

Products made specifically to your individual requirements, such as a non-standard size or bespoke variation, may not be eligible for change-of-mind cancellation or return. Details are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy. This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, damaged or not as described.

4. Fabric by the Metre

Fabric ordered by the metre is cut specifically to the length selected when you place your order.

Because fabric is cut to your requested length, change-of-mind cancellations or returns may not be available once the fabric has been cut. Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.

We recommend ordering a fabric sample before placing a larger fabric order if colour, texture or suitability is particularly important to your project.

Your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods are not affected.

5. Prices and Payment

All prices shown on our website are in Pounds Sterling (GBP).

The price payable will be the price shown at the time your order is placed. Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown during checkout before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be successfully authorised before we can process your order.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or product-information errors. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you before proceeding wherever required.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We currently offer online delivery within the United Kingdom.

Delivery charges are shown at checkout.

Estimated making and delivery times are provided in good faith but may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control. If there is a significant delay with your order, we will contact you.

For handmade lampshades, please remember that the stated 1–4 week making time is before dispatch.

Risk in the goods remains with us until they are delivered to you or to a person you have identified to receive them on your behalf, except where you arrange your own carrier independently.

7. Returns, Cancellations and Faulty Goods

Your rights to cancel an order, return an eligible product or notify us about faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Nothing in these Terms of Service limits your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website — including our original textile designs, patterns, artwork, photographs, product designs, graphics, branding, text and other creative material — belongs to To Pastures New or is used by us with permission.

Our content may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, sold or used commercially without our prior written permission.

Purchasing fabric or another To Pastures New product does not transfer ownership of the copyright or intellectual property in the design.

9. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful personal use.

You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its security or operation, introduce malicious software, collect information about other users without permission, or use our content in a way that infringes our or another person's rights.

We may restrict access to the website where we reasonably believe it is being misused.

10. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to or features provided by third parties.

We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third-party websites. If you choose to use a third-party website or service, its own terms and privacy policies may apply.

11. Relationship with Shopify

To Pastures New is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide our online store and related services.

However, any sales and purchases made through our store are made directly between you and To Pastures New. Shopify is not the seller of the products available through our store.

12. Privacy

Personal information collected through our website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Because our store is hosted by Shopify, Shopify also processes certain personal information in connection with the operation of the website and checkout.

13. Reviews and Feedback

If you submit a product review, photograph or other feedback to us, you confirm that you have the right to provide that content and that it does not infringe another person's rights.

Where you give us permission to share customer photographs, reviews or other content, we may use that content in connection with To Pastures New, including on our website and social media.

14. Errors and Availability

Occasionally our website may contain an error relating to a product description, price, availability, delivery information or other content.

We may correct errors and update information where necessary.

If an error materially affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you and explain the available options.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

If you are purchasing as a consumer, our products are supplied for private and domestic use unless otherwise agreed. We are not responsible for business losses arising from consumer purchases.

16. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any contract between you and To Pastures New are governed by the laws of Scotland.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you will continue to benefit from any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you in your place of residence.

Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you may have regarding where legal proceedings may be brought under applicable law.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our website, products, business practices or legal requirements.
